Persol's entrepreneurial adventure began in Italy in the 1920s with the production of glasses that combined protection, performance and innovation for pilots and athletes. Created in the 1960s to protect Turin tram drivers from dust and reflections, the Persol model 649 sunglasses became the brand's first icon thanks to Marcello Mastroianni and the film "Divorce Italian Style" (1961).
